Autism & Behavioral Services
Metro Therapy, Inc. has provided Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children and Behavior Intervention Services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Disabilities for over twenty years. Services are provided in the student’s school, community, and home.
School Based Services
NYS Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analysts® (BCBA) work collaboratively with schools to build the skills and expertise needed to instruct students diagnosed with ASD within their district. BCBAs work closely with educational teams serving students in a range of placements, from full inclusion to self-contained special education programs. For preschool-aged students through adults, consultants focus on collaborating to generate effective solutions to improve student progress, reduce challenging behaviors, and increase independence.
Professional Development
Metro Therapy is devoted to providing comprehensive professional development to administrators, educators, and parents. Our trainings include evidence-based information presented in user-friendly terms with an emphasis on practical solutions for the classroom, community and home settings. Sessions include hands-on practice utilizing the most effective teaching procedures and data collection methods. Our trainers are NYS Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analysts® with experience in designing and overseeing the education of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities in public and private school settings.

- Parent Training and counseling to provide parents and caregivers with information relevant to the home setting

Consultants’ Capabilities/Specifications
Metro Therapy’s Board Certified Behavior Analysts® possess extensive experience in Autism training, Applied Behavior Analysis training, Social Skills training conducting Functional Behavior Assessments, development and/or review of Behavior Intervention Plans, Consultation with Educational Teams, individual professional staff training, personnel support, Parent/Family Training, data analysis of behavior and skill development, developing Positive Behavior Supports, developing IEP behavioral goals, supporting inclusion classrooms, individual student program design for general education and special education placement, Comprehensive Staff Development, and Transition Support.
Integrated After School Program
The purpose of the program is to give our students extended opportunities to interact with each other in a social yet structured setting that will enhance the development and improvement of skills that are necessary to be lifelong learners.
